Some of yall might be wondering what is Phi Mu. Well, Phi Mu was founded in 1852 at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. It is the second oldest secret society for women. Phi Mu was first known as Phi Mu fraternity due to the fact that sorority was not a common word yet. Our colors are pink and white. Our flower is a rose colored carnation. Phi Mu has both collegiate and alumni chapters all over the the United States. Our national philanthropy is Children's Miracle Network. Phi Mu's National headquarters is in Peachtree City, Georgia. The picture to the left is the Phi Mu crest. Les Soeurs Fideles means Faithful Sisters. All Phi Mu members believe in the ideals of their Creed which is love, honor, and truth.
I'm glad you expained the history of your sorority. Many people think of sororities in a stereotypical way and disregard the real meaning and intent of these organizations. Many people may joing them for the wrong reasons too. I think sororities are great organizations that can really foster community and charity.
